How ALTARED Began: A Vision Turned Reality
In 2021, Stephan Richardson received a God-given vision that sparked the idea for a Christian nightclub—a place where believers could come together, have fun, and celebrate their faith in an entirely new way. At first, it seemed like just a passing thought, but the idea kept resurfacing, tugging at Stephan's heart at least nine different times over the course of three years. It was clear that this vision wasn’t going away.
By early 2024, the tug on Stephan’s heart became stronger than ever. He knew it was time to take a leap of faith and bring Charlotte, North Carolina, its first-ever Christian nightclub. Through prayer, dedication, and unwavering trust in God’s direction, Stephan decided to make it happen.
Stephan gathered a small team from a church called Servant Church—jb, ashley, and panda—to launch ALTARED with a grand opening that would set the tone for something groundbreaking. The event was a huge success, but soon after, the team split to pursue their own Christian nightclub ventures. Meanwhile, Stephan remained committed to the original vision God had placed in his heart years ago, continuing to follow the path laid out for him.
Under God’s guidance, Stephan set out to create something not just for Charlotte, but something bigger—something the world had never seen before. 2024 marked the beginning, but it’s just the start of what’s to come.
With plans to expand ALTARED across the USA and beyond, 2025 and the future hold exciting surprises, special guests, and more locations around the world.
Charlotte is where it all began, and as of September 2024, ALTARED is already working on opening more locations throughout the country.
What started as a vision is now a movement, and we’re just getting started.
